I honestly feel pretty good about completing all of the requirements for the assignment. There were some complications as to complete the assignment which was very frustrating, but I eventually fixed it. This is also my first time doing something like this and I am not the most skilled when it comes to technology. So far what I have done for this assignment is the Daily Creates, About me, and the first summary. I had a harder time setting up than anything else

Working with the website gave me a lot of trouble. I got logged out and couldn’t remember my login, I later found out that I typed in the wrong email for WordPress, so I wasn’t getting any notification on needing to change my password and update my email. That took up more time than it needed to which caused me a lot of stress and frustration. But thankfully I was able to get back in and reset everything and wrote down my password. I enjoyed embedding my social media and uploading pictures on this website, it was very easy to do. I learned that I need to double check if I wrote things correctly if I sign up for something.

There probably isn’t much that I would do differently this assignment because I ended up having fun making it. I do have a question on commenting on other peoples blog posts, how do we do that? is it going to be visible for everyone to see? and how do we get credit for ? I base a lot of my social media on things that I like and are passionate about; Music, theatre, family and friends. I don’t find that I lot of my work has a lot of issues surrounding culture or society. I will say one thing though that a lot of the things that I like are what most will view as acquired tastes.Leave a commentEdit

This weeks assignments really tested my patience, but nonetheless I think they turned out well and I am happy with them. This week we got to play around with photography and photoshop. I really enjoyed taking pictures of the different things in my house, trying to be picky with how I take the pictures and give the objects a story. I am no professional when it comes to potography but I still try my best.

The editing process was probably the most interesting for me to do. I had never done any type of photoshop before so it was fun to explore and getting to know. It also proved to be very difficult at times. figuring out how to use the different tools and how to cut out backgrounds was deffinitely time consuming, but worth it. Doing to assignments on the assignment bank I also enjoyed, my favorite being the Draw It assignment. That one was also easy which is probably one reason why I enjoyed it.

There are so many ways of story telling, and one way is by telling through visual art and photography. A photo can document someone’s journy, a life, growth, or evolution. Most of the time there is inspiration behind the photo. Visual photos are so interesting because the audience can make up so many stories to the photo without actually knowing the real story, which makes it even more fascinating.

Overall I enjoyed these assignments. They caused me to become pickier and think more critically.http://loganwaddell.com/uncategorized/photo-gallary/embed/#?secret=YIpUVdqknnhttp://loganwaddell.com/uncategorized/daily-create-four/embed/#?secret=ypl8irvrdqhttp://loganwaddell.com/uncategorized/daily-create-five/embed/#?secret=wU6O1JBoR9http://loganwaddell.com/uncategorized/creating-my-own-book-jacket/embed/#?secret=ok50TZRBA7http://loganwaddell.com/uncategorized/drawing-of-nature/embed/#?secret=mVj8V3jqjm

Reflection:

To me, these assignments were probably the most difficult for me because of two reasons. One, they were very time consuming and there was a lot of figuring stuff out and two, a lot of the things we had to do I have never done before. So it was a big process for me. I really enjoyed taking pictures of small objects around my house. My favorite one is probably taking a picture of my magazine and making it look like its flipping the pages all by itself. I also really enjoyed some of the visual assignments, especially the Draw It. I really liked how that picture turned out (eventhough the filter app did it all for me).

I learned a lot by doing visual storytelling because it made me think critically. When I was taking my pictures I thought about how interesting it might turn out to be, what story can I tell with this object, and how picky can I get? It is something that I found to be very interesting and helpful in story telling and I think everyone should try it out.

This week was definitely more manageable for me and less frustrating. I felt that I have completed each assignment to its full capacity and have worked very hard on each assignment. I have found it easier to do edits in the Paint app. What gave me trouble was probably the Lord of the Rings picture. The reason I had trouble was I was trying to adjust the font after I finished writing the quote, I thought Pain would let me go back into editing the writing but it wouldn’t so I had to keep rewriting the text until I was satisfied. I learned that if you are not a pro at photoshop, Paint is easier to use.

I think what I enjoyed the most was making the Vogue magazine cover. I love taking mini photoshoots and that’s what I did to make the picture that I used. I also took a lot of other pictures to pick out from. I obviously didn’t use them but I used them in an Instagram
